Every year, the CRN Next-Gen Solution Provider Leaders list recognizes today’s up-and-coming solution provider executives, directors, and managers who are poised to be tomorrow’s channel leaders.

This year, two MDSi employees were included in that list: Ross Mashburn and James Wardrop.

Ross Mashburn has been at MDSi for four years as a program manager in our Supply Chain Solutions division. He came to MDSi in the spring of 2020 after completing his service as a logistics officer in the U.S. Army, where he earned a Demonstrated Senior Logistician certification from the International Society of Logistics. He currently serves as a program manager for several of MDSi’s strategic accounts. He provides an exceptionally high level of customer support, data analysis, and third-level escalation support to our long-standing programs. He assists our customers in driving new initiatives and develops processes to help them achieve their goals.

In describing Ross, CRN said “Mashburn was instrumental in developing new ways in which MDSI can provide value to its customer base. He developed a predictive analysis tool using consumption analytics and project forecasts to streamline procurement recommendations for customers. And he managed the pilot of a complex subscription management portal that monitors customer installations and associated licenses and maintenance agreements, providing visibility and forecasts for upcoming expirations.”

James Wardrop has been at MDSi for almost three years. With a solid foundation in finance and extensive experience in management, he specializes in optimizing IT sales operations to drive growth and efficiency. His expertise lies in leveraging financial insights to align sales strategies with business objectives, implement data-driven solutions, and manage cross-functional projects. His background in finance equips him with a unique perspective on budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.

In recognizing him for his contributions, CRN said “Wardrop enhanced strategic partnerships, improved training programs and implemented performance metrics for his team, efforts that boosted customer satisfaction. He also established procedures and guidelines for early identification of potential cybersecurity threats that have enabled MDSi to detect, analyze and address threats proactively.”
