Management Data Systems Int’l, Inc. ("MDSi," or the "Company") requires that its Client(s) understand and agree to certain policies and procedures related to product returns (defective or not). Acceptance of - and compliance with - these policies and procedures is required in order to effect the company's warranty program.

MDSI's Standard One-Year Overnight Replacement Warranty |
|

 |
Every piece of networking equipment sold by MDSI is fully-guaranteed and comes with a standard one-year warranty (END USERS ONLY). |
 |
MDSI's standard warranty is only available on equipment sold by MDSI on or after Jan 1st, 2006 . |
 |
Advanced overnight replacement (on a best-efforts basis) for defective equipment also comes standard. |
 |
Ongoing technical support from Certified technicians is available on all equipment / configurations. |
 |
MDSI's warranties and returns are subject to acceptance of, and compliance with, MDSI policies and procedures as described below and on MDSI's RMA form. |

How is MDSI's Standard Warranty Different? |

|
|
| |
Most original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and used equipment resellers offer a standard 30 or 90-day warranty on equipment; MDSI offers a full year on all reconditioned equipment! |
|
|
|
|
| |
New equipment is subject to Manufacturer’s warranty. Advanced overnight replacement is typically unavailable with most warranties, but comes standard with MDSI's one-year warranty (depending on availability). |
|
|
|
|
| |
Technical support services are often offered for a fee. At MDSI, technical support is provided with our standard one-year warranty. |
|

Product Returns |

Returns of Working Product |
|
|
|
|
| |
Product returns are subject to MDSI approval and at the Company's sole discretion, MDSI will issue a refund - less a 20% re-stocking fee - on all returns of working product, provided that the following conditions are met: |

Client follows the requisite procedures described below (see "Procedures: Returns of Working Product"). |
 |
Client returns product within 14 calendar days from the original date of purchase.
|
 |
Client returns product in the condition in which it was delivered (all product received otherwise will not be accepted)
|
 |
Returns can ONLY be processed if the following steps are strictly followed.
|

Product received after 14 calendar days will not be accepted by MDSI and will not be eligible for refund or credit. Contact your sales representative if you have any questions about product eligibility. |

Procedure |
|
|
|
|
| |
 |
If you (the client) would like to return a product, and it is still within 14 calendar days from the original date of purchase,
you may either
submit the on-line RMA Request form or contact your sales support representative.
|
 |
Your sales support representative
will issue you an RMA number to
return the equipment. All
returned parts require an RMA number
to receive credit.
|
 |
You must re-package the product such that MDSI receives it in the same condition in which it was originally delivered. Please include all manuals, diskettes, digital media, cables and all other accessories sent with the original product. Working product must be received by MDSI within 14 calendar days of original receipt.
|
 |
Reference the RMA number on the outside of the box or on the
shipping label. Also, include the completed RMA form
with the shipment.
|
 |
In the event that the customer does not return the item within the 14 days, customer agrees to pay for the part at the original purchase price. |
 |
In all cases (unless a product is shipped in error), the client accepts responsibility for the cost of freight (both original and return shipment). |
 |
A refund or credit will not occur without the completion of this form and receipt of product. |

Returns of Non-Working/Defective Product |
|
|
|
|
| |
MDSi Inc. will replace all non-working/defective ("defective") product overnight (on a best-efforts basis depending on availability) provided that the following conditions are met: |

Client follows the requisite procedures described below (see "Procedures: Returns of Non-Working Product").
|
 |
Client returns product within one year from the original date of purchase.
|
 |
Client returns product in the condition in which it was delivered (all product received otherwise will not be accepted).

Returns can ONLY be processed if the following steps are strictly followed |

To ensure your matter is handled properly, please note the following policies: |

 |
Defective product must be returned to / received by MDSI within 14 calendar days upon receipt of a replacement product, or it will not be accepted by MDSi.
|
 |
If the defective product is not returned to / received by MDSi within 14 calendar days, the client will be charged the full purchase price of both the defective product and the replacement product.
|
 |
Client will be issued a refund at the sole discretion of MDSI if an item cannot be replaced in a timely manner.
|
|

Procedure |
|

|

If your (the client's) product appears to be defective or is not functioning properly, please either submit an
on-line RMA Request form or contact your sales support representative. |
 |
Your sales support representative will send (via fax or email) MDSi’s RMA REQUEST FORM if not
submitted on-line. This form must be filled out completely and faxed back.
|
 |
An MDSi Technician will then review the request and contact you to determine if the problem can be resolved over the phone or an if an RMA needs to be issued.
|
 |
If the return is approved by MDSi, your sales support representative will issue a MDSi RMA Number.
|
 |
After receiving RMA number, re-package the defective product such that MDSI receives it in the same condition in which it was originally delivered. Please include all manuals, diskettes, digital media, cables and all other accessories sent with the original product. Defective product must be returned within 14 calendar days of replacement.

In the event that a replacement is sent in advance and the customer does not return the item within the 14 days, customer agrees to pay for both the original and the replacement part at the original purchase price. |
